Volunteerism

Martin Lukther King service dayCivic Responsibility is an integral aspect of UNC Asheville’s Strategic Plan. Working with the Key Center for Civic Engagement and Service Learning, Special Programs provides opportunities for students to become actively engaged in volunteer service projects in the local and regional community. In recent years, there has been an increase in community engagement. Now more than ever, giving your time for the betterment of those less fortunate is very important. Volunteerism is the purest form of philanthropy.

Throughout the semester volunteer opportunities will be listed on this page. If you would like to be notified of upcoming events, please contact Mary Chakales, Director of Special Programs at mchakale@unca.edu 828.232.2417
